개별 학생의 장애 특성과 다양한 교육적 요구를 고려하여 교육활동을 수행해야 하는 특수교사는 스트레스로 인해 심리적 소진을 경험하고 있는 게 현실이다. 극도의 직무 스트레스는 신체적, 정서적으로 소진 상태를 초래하게 되는데 특수교사의 심리적 소진과 직무 스트레스 간에 관계는 선행연구들을 통해 다양하게 밝혀지고 있다. 하지만 아직까지 특수학급 교사를 대상으로 한 심리적 소진 측정도구가 타당화되어 있지 못한 실정이다. 특수학급 교사들의 심리적 소진과 관련된 지금까지의 많은 연구들은 측정도구를 우리나라 실정에 맞게 충분히 타당화하지 않고 기존에 개발된 외국의 측정도구를 그대로 번역하여 사용하거나 내용타당도만을 고려하여 문항의 일부를 수정 혹은 추가하여 사용하고 있다. 이러한 맥락에서 본 연구는 특수학급 교사 심리적 소진 측정도구를 타당화하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 이 연구목적을 달성하기 위해서 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하였다. 첫째, 특수학급 교사 심리적 소진을 구성하는 요인과 요인 내 문항은 무엇인가? 둘째, 특수 학급 교사 심리적 소진 측정도구의 신뢰도는 어떠한가? 셋째, 특수학급 교사 심리적 소진 측정도구의 타당도는 어떠한가? 이 연구문제들을 해결하기 위해 심리적 소진을 측정하는 데에 많이 활용되어온 ‘Maslach Burnout Inventory’(Maslach & Jackson, 1981)를 특수학급 교사 101명을 대상으로 실시하였다. 수집한 자료를 통해 연구 문제에 따라 기술통계 분석, 탐색적 요인분석, 신뢰도 분석, 확인적 요인분석 등을 실시하였다. 연구결과에 따르면, 특수학급 교사 심리적 소진 측정도구는 총 3개 요인(총 11개 문항)으로 구성되는 것으로 확인되었다. 그리고 전체 11개 문항의 신뢰도는 .860으로 나타나 높은 신뢰도를 보였다. 또한, 심리적 소진 척도의 구인타당도 검증을 위해 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였고, 분석 결과 모형 적합도가 양호한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 내적 구조에 의한 척도의 수렴타당도와 변별타당도도 적합한 것으로 확인되었고, 공인타당도 또한 양호한 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study was to validate a measurement scale of the special class teacher's burnout. The research questions are as follows: First, what is factors and items of the scale? Second, what is validity of the scale? Third, what is reliability of the scale? In order to verify the validity and reliability of a measurement scale of the special class teacher's burnout, 101 teachers of special class were surveyed. A exploratory factor analysis and reliability analysis were used to identify relation with factors and items of the scale. As a result of the confirmatory factor analysis, CFI, TLI, RMR and RMSEA were examined, validity was satisfying. In addition, the internal structure of the convergent, discriminant, concurrent validity was acceptable. According to these results, a measurement scale of the special class teacher's burnout was valid and the questionnaire was reliable. The limitations of this study and the suggestions for the follow-up research were also provided.
