A Study on the Digital Materiality and the Way of Spatial Composition of 3 Dimensional Digital Images

Today the environment of the media is changing rapidly. The paradigm of the design of the fourth industrial revolution is undergoing a paradigm change. Media environments such as virtual reality, augmented reality, 3D images, 3D animation, digital architecture, and 3D printing require three-dimensional digital images. In this study, we explored digital properties of three-dimensional digital images and explored the spatial composition of three-dimensional digital images. Digital Materiality can be separated into Polygon, NURBS, Subdivision, and Sculpting and each method builds up based on their own characteristics. The spatial composition of the spatial framework consists of interacting with the elements, lines, faces, and solid elements, forming three-dimensional structures. The most unique digital method of spatial composition is the method of transformation through deform. Designers producing three-dimensional digital images should develop the ability to fundamentally understand and apply this approach.
