In the early 1920`s, two short stories entitled with hometown were written by Chinese writer Lu Xun and Korean writer Hyun Jin-geon. These two "Hometown" were influenced by Russian writer Evgenii N. Chirikov`s short story "Hometown" Chirikov`s "Hometown" mainly described the despair which a revolutionary intelletual felt after returning hometown. But Lu Xun`s "Hometown" described the complex mind of which a revolutionary intellectual lost a naive kind of hope and newly found a practical kind of hope after returning hometown. On the other hand, Hyun Jin-geon`s "Hometown" described a worker`s despair after returning hometown. Lu Xun`s "Hometown" is differnt from Chirikov`s. Hyun Jin-geon`s "Hometown" is differnt from Chirikov`s and Lu Xun`s.
