이 글에서 <윤선옥전>이 지닌 인문학적인 의의로 모두 일곱 가지를 들었다. 부부가 함께 시간 보내기, 부부 간의 공대(恭待), 부부 간의 의사 소통, 가정 문제의 책임을 자기 탓으로 돌리는 자세, 최선의 해결책 마련을 위한 부부의 노력 등이다. 첫째, 부부가 함께 시간 보내기는, 자칫 일에 중독된 나머지 부부가 함께하는 시간을 소홀히 할 수 있는 위험성을 피하게끔 일정한 자극을 주는 대목이라 생각한다. 둘째, 부부 간의 공대는 부부 간의 언어사용에 관한 것으로서, 남녀차별이 아니라 내외를 분별하며 서로를 대등한 인격체로 존중했던 과거의 삶을 재발견하게 한다. 셋째, 부부 간의 의사 소통은 아직도 가부장제적인 문화가 강한 우리나라에서 반드시 눈여겨보아야 할 사항이라 생각한다. 넷째, 가정 문제의 책임을 자기 탓으로 돌리는 자세 역시, 가정의 행복을 유지하기 위해 반드시 필요한 자세라 할 수 있다. 다섯째, 최선의 해결책 마련을 위한 부부의 노력도 마찬가지다. 가정의 중요 문제 앞에서 가장 완전한 해결책이 무엇인지에 대해 함께 노력하여 대안을 찾아내는 모습은 합리성을 중시하는 지금의 관점에서도 돋보인다.

This article attempted to reveal the humanistic significance of Classical Novel < Yoonseonokjeon >. There was a total of five. First, it is thought that spending time together for a husband and wife is a kind of stimulus to avoid the danger of neglecting time spent together by the couple who are addicted to work. Second, the polite language between husband and wife is about the use of language between the couple, which rediscovers the past life that discriminated between inside and outside, not discrimination between man and woman, that respected each other as equal persons. Third, it is though that communication between husband and wife is something to be noticed in Korea which still has a strong patriarchal culture. Fourth, it can be said that attitude of blaming oneself for the responsibility of family problems is also a necessary attitude to maintain family happiness. Fifth, the way to find alternatives by working together on what is the most complete solution in light of the important problems of the family is also distinguished within the present point of view that emphasizes rationality.
