개인의 내면적 경험을 조형화하는 동시에 매력적으로 느껴지는 화예 상품을 개발하는 것이 본 작품의 목적이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 개인적인 회상을 탐구하여 광범위한 이미지 리서치를 통해 상황에 대응하는 모티브를 탐색하여 Fun의 표현을 시도하였다. 구체적으로는 개인적 회상으로부터 찾아진 우유, 젖병, 파마머리, 크리스마스, 이불, 인형 등의 단어를 중심으로 다양한 연관어를 추가로 찾았고 이를 영어로 번역하여 핀터레스트와 구글이미지 등의 이미지서치 웹사이트에 키워드 입력을 하여 이미지리서치를 행하였다. 그 결과 작가는 만화적이고 재미있는 일러스트레이션의 얼굴을 한 인형이 과장된 파마 머리에 꽃을 꽂고 있는 우스꽝스러운 작품을 제작했다. 솜의 색깔과 꽃의 소재를 다르게 하여 서로 다른 세 가지 버전의 작품을 시리즈로 계획하여 최종적으로는 두 종을 제작하였다. 제작 후에 새로운 아이디어가 추가되었는데, 작가가 일러 스트레이션으로 제작한 얼굴 부분을 빈 화이트보드나 칠판재질로 대체하여 사용자가 자신의 취향에 맞추어 표정을 그려 넣을 수 있는 참여적 작품으로도 발전시킬 수 있는 가능성을 발견하였다. 또한 다양한 얼굴 표정의 일러스트레이션을 제공하여 사용자가 갈아 붙이도록 할 수도 있겠다. 또한 얼굴부분을 철이 함유된 재질의 종이로 제작하고 눈, 코, 입을 자석 성질을 가진 종이 위에 그려 잘라 붙임으로써 얼굴 부품의 교환이나 위치 변경이 가능한 작품이 될 수도 있겠다. 종합하면 인형, 일러스트 레이션, 꽃이 결합되어 재미있는 표현을 보여주는 동시에 다양한 변형 가능성을 가지며 또한 적은 양의 꽃으로도 장식적 효과를 극대화할 수 있는 화예작품으로 제작된 점에서 본 작품의 의의를 찾을 수 있을 것이다.
The purpose of this work were to experiment the visualization of personal emotion from the memory and to develop attractive floral art work as a commercial product. The artist performed vast image research to seek for motives corresponding the situations of the memory based on personal exploration and tried to pick funny expression out of them. The researcher found various related keyword related to personal memory such as milk, baby bottle, permanent wave of hair styling, christmas, blanket and doll and performed image research on the sit such as pinterest and google image. Therefore the artist made a dolls with faces of comic illustration, exggagerated waved hair putting flowers on. Three versions of doll are developed with different hair colors and flowers but later they were arraged to two types of version. New ideas were discussed such as substituting faces with white boards for user to draw whatever faces they like on and multiple choices of drawn faces to be provided for user to select and apply on their own choice. As a result the works were made in which dolls, illustrations and flowers were combined effectively to produce funny expression and only small amount of flowers to be used to make fairly interesting appearance.
