오늘날 화예디자인 작업은 과거 꽃꽂이의 영역을 넘어 다양한 형식으로 발전하고 있어 그 가운데는 꽃과 식물을 활용하여 분위기를 연출하는 공간 연출에 활용되어 훌륭한 연출 결과를 이루어내는 사례 또한 적지않다. 이러한 화예 공간 연출을 행하기 위해서는 일반적인 화예디자인의 기량 이외에도 공간적 특성과 그 연출의 가능성을 이해하고 탐구하는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구는 화예 작품을 포함한 공간의 연출 사례의 분석을 통해 해당 연출의 방법을 분석하고 연출적 가이드라인의 도출을 시도한 연구이다. 이 연구를 위해 공간의 유형을 탐구함에 있어 다양한 사례 이미지를 수집, 분석하여 공간적 특성을 바탕으로 구분하여 유형화하였다. 그 과정에서 행동장면분석과 근거이론방법론이 사용되었으며 개방코딩, 축코딩, 선택코딩의 단계를 거쳐 최종적으로 총 48개의 화예 공간 연출 유형을 도출할 수 있었다. 결론적으로 본 연구를 통해 첫째, 공간이 하나의 디자인의 요소가 되어 화예 연출과 조화를 이루는 것이 가능하며, 둘째, 공간 연출에 있어 참여자와 관찰자의 체험과 같은 다양한 요소를 고려할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었고, 셋째로 분석과 유형화를 통해 얻어진 특징들과 48개의 화예 공간 연출의 유형은 작품을 분석하는 데 뿐 아니라 창작하는 데도 활용될 수 있는 가이드라인이 됨을 확인할 수 있었다.

Nowadays, the number of people are using floral arrangements in environmental and space design is increasing. Hence, all over the world people have been realizing the importance of Flower arrangements as a way to add value to space design. Currently, South Korea is somewhere behind other countries in the use of floral arrangements as a way to diversify and add value to environmental design So this Research analyze a number of cases of Direct Floral arrangements in domestic and overseas. It provides guideline for case by case and diversifies Direct Floral arrangements and spread the extent. Thus, it functions as what it is as beautiful works and Space for Art. Such research analyzes directing ways of space which includes floral art and studied cases of space based on feature of space. By investigating diverse cases and through procedure on image analysis, it gained Planar- Spatial experience, Stagewise experience, Contact Experience, Stereotactic which are the highest notion. From this research, I am looking forward for Floral Space to be performed in more various ways in terms of Spatial Characteristic and Structure. Thus I also hope Directing floral production is recognized as one of fields in plastic arts.
