The purpose of this study is to find out educational methodology of literature with effectively used videos out of the critical mind about that current college students tend to avoid literature courses. An educational method to enhance the comprehensive ability of language management of ``speaking, listening, writing, reading and translating`` at the same time in the education of literature was actually presented by giving a specific example of ``Special Lecture on Japanese Literature``. The method is to select one of literary works composed of videos (movies, dramas and animations) every week; to have a student make a presentation; to draw a lively discussion with all the students in class. As to the object of literary works, it is better to select modern and contemporary works rather than classical ones in order to arouse students`` interest. This lecture mainly selected some works whose originals had received Literature Award or won movie awards. All the lectures were given in a native language (Japanese). The professor had given lectures and suggested an example of how to make a presentation. Responses after the lecture were checked by giving students simple quizzes and having them write about their impression. From the fifth week. the professor had students present PPT materials of the work they chose ahead and make a presentation of it. The professor made them ask questions to the other students in class after their presentation and led them to involve in dynamic questioning and discussing. Also, the professor suggested the differences between the original and its translation and presented a real text to students in case of time left over. In order for this kind of educational method to effectively function, the instructor``s role is crucial. His/her role includes selecting high-quality works, making smooth progress in case of students`` presentation, making a comment on their presentation, correcting PPT materials and others. And how to select high-quality visualized works, how to adjust lecture time that could be longer or shorter by a presenter, and how to practically organize a small group of students so that an active discussion can be drawn will continue to remain an issue in the future.
