This paper aims to investigate the structure and character of the village rituals for heavenly deity in Geumhandong, Jincheon, Looking into the text of written prayer descended in Geumhandong, the purpose of rituals in Cheonjedan is to protect villagers against small pox by offering a devout prayer to heavenly deity. Like Geumgok, the biggest village that has Cheonjedan, the village which belongs to Geumhan-yi consists of WitMal (uptown), AhraetMal (downtown), BeolTe, SaeTeo. Each village performed town-unit rituals annually, and every three years they got together for rituals to heavenly deity in Cheonjedan. From this, we can figure out the structure of Geumhandong belief which can be organized as ``Cheonjedan-subordinate village shrine``. We also can see that each Geumhangdong family welcomed heavenly deity performing ``rituals for heavenly deity-MajoongShiru`` and that the villagers joined all together with unity.
