Jessner’s lymphocytic infiltration of the skin (JLIS) is a skin condition of unknown etiology characterized by erythematous papules and plaques located on the head, neck and upper back. Histologically, the lesions show perivascular and periadnexal lymhocytic infiltrates. A variety of empirical treatments has been tried, but there is no still effective therapy. A 33-years-old Korean had non-symptomatic multiple erythematous papules & plaques on left cheek for 2years. We performed biopsy and diagnosed this case as JLIS. We started treatment with topical steroid and antimalarial agent for 40days. Some of the lesions disappeared for a period of time, but they were relapsed. Oral Methotrexate(MTX) 15 mg weekly was prescribed for 10weeks. After 3weeks, Skin lesions were regressed and had cleared completely after 10weeks. No relapse occurred during 1year of observation. Herein, We report here a case of JLIS successfully treated with methotrexate(MTX).
