Background and Purpose The purpose of this study was to investigated the effects of increase in balance ability to one leg support static exercise for adults in 20s using empty plastic bottle in a short period of time. Subjects: A total of 38 students received one leg support static exercise during 1 minute and 30 seconds for 6 times, for 2 weeks. Methods: To measure balance function in experimental group and control group, we used ground, biodex balance system. Overall stability index, anteroposterior stability index, mediolateral stability index were also measured. Results: For each measurement, there was no significant difference between groups. However, there was a significant difference within the pre- and post test assessments of each measurement. Conclusion: The results suggest that the adaptation of unstable one leg posture in the single limb support static exercise could be effective for the college students.
