본 연구는 체육교육에서 협동학습 및 구조중심 협동학습이 가지는 교육적 의미를 찾아보고 학교 현장에서 구조중심 협동학습을 체육과에 적용할 수 있도록 교수·학습안의 수립 절차와 예시를 제시하는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 통해 구조중심 협동학습의 올바른 이해와 더불어 현장 적용을 좀 더 용이하게 할 수 있을 것으로 기대하였다. 이를 위해 먼저 협동학습 관련 전문자료, 체육과 협동학습 관련 선행연구논문, 2009 체육과 교육과정 총론 및 체육과 교육과정 등의 자료 수집과 분석이 이루어졌다. 또한 이를 토대로 교육과정 재구성과 교수·학습안 등의 체육 적용 방안을 제시하였다. 연구의 결론은 아래와 같다. 첫째, 협동학습은 운동기능과 체력, 사회성 함양, 수업태도, 창의성, 자기 효능감과 학업 성취도 등을 향상시키는데 기여한다. 둘째, 체육과 교육과정은 기본 역할과 방향, 추구하는 인간상, 목표, 교수·학습 방법에서 협동학습을 강조하고 있다. 셋째, 구조중심 협동학습을 적용한 체육과 선행연구는 교육적 효과는 제시하였지만 구체적이지 못하여 현장 적용에 한계가 있다. 넷째, 구조중심 협동학습을 적용한 교수·학습안은 단원재구성, 모둠세우기, 협동학습 게임 선정, 협동학습 구조 선정 등의 과정을 통해 마련할 수 있다.

The purpose of this study was not only to find educational meanings of cooperative learning and structure-based cooperative learning in physical education, but also to suggest the procedure and example of teaching-learning plan to adapt structure-based cooperative learning to physical education in school. This will help understanding on structure-based cooperative learning correctly and adapting to physical education classes easily. To do these, data collection and analysis on the cooperative learning articles, the 2009 general guideline of the national curriculum and 2009 physical education curriculum were done. The results could be abstracted as follows. First, cooperative learning is effective way to increase motor skill, fitness, sociality, class participant attitude, creativity, self-efficiency and academic achievement in physical education. Second, cooperative learning is the main keyword to realize of the 2009 general guideline of nation curriculum and physical education curriculum by stressing cooperation in their basic direction and role, desirable human character, purpose, teaching-learning method. Third, structure-based cooperative learning has an educational meaning in physical education, but advanced researches have limits in applying their results to P.E class. Fourth, the teaching-learning plan can be made by unit reconstruction, group building-up, cooperative game and learning structure selection. lastly, it is necessary to do execution researches to find out the effects of the teaching and learning plan of this study in the future.
