기독교대학의 사명 가운데 하나는 대학선교다. 유감스럽게도 역사가흐르면서 기독교대학이 정체성을 상실하고 사회적 신뢰를 상실해 가면서 선교에 부정적 영향을 미치고 있다. 이런 상황에서 이 논문은 기독교대학의 대학선교 전략을 대학생의 가치관과의 상관성에 모색하는 데그 목적이 있다. 오늘날 대학생의 가치관의 특징을 자연주의, 현세주의, 물질주의 및 소비주의, 개인주의, 감성주의, 그리고 개방적 성의식에서 찾을 수 있다. 이러한 가치관들은 공통적으로 세속주의라는 특징을 지니고 있어서 종교나 신앙에 대해 부정적이다. 자연주의는 신앙을 주관적이라고봄으로써 객관성과 보편성을 추구하는 학문활동의 장애가 된다고 본다. 현세주의는 이상보다는 현실, 내세보다는 현실세계에만 관심하게한다. 물질주의와 소비주의는 내면적 가치에 무관심하게 만들고 물질소비에서 구원을 추구한다. 개인주의는 건강한 가치관 형성에 필요한 공동체를 위협하며 쉽게 이기주의로 전락한다. 감성주의나 개방적 성의식은 삶의 진지함을 약화시키고 윤리적 쾌락주의에 빠진다. 기독교대학의 선교전략은 이런 현실을 감안하여 수용자중심의 선교신학을 정립해야 한다. 대학생들의 문화와 가치관을 정죄하기보다는 이해하고 비판하기보다는 수용해야 한다. 더 나아가 건강한 기독교적 가치관 형성을 위해 인성교육을 강화해야 한다. 우리 시대가 아무리직업교육과 전문교육을 강조한다 하더라도 기독교대학이 선교적 사명을 감당하기 위해선 하나님의 형상을 회복하기 위한 전인교육을 소홀히 해서는 안 된다. 한편, 교수와 학생, 그리고 학생들 사이의 건강한 대학공동체 형성을 위해서도 노력해야 한다. 이는 대학생의 가치관이 공동체에 의해 형성되기 때문이다. 건강한 신앙공동체에 의해 건강한 기독교 가치관이 형성될 수 있다.

This paper deals with the theology and strategy of campus evangelism in a Christian university, investigating student``s value system. There are several models categorized into the student``s value system today: naturalism, secularism, materialism and consumerism, individualism, sensualism and sexual revolution. They all have one thing in common: they are indifferent to and even incompatible with religious faith. Naturalism regards religious faith as an obstacle to the objective and value-free scholarship while secularism negates a role of religion in the public space like classroom. Under the strong influence of materialism and consumerism, students are easy to follow materialistic value than mental value shaped by religious faith. Individualism overwhelms campus life and debilitates the community based on the value system. There are some suggestions to redefine and revitalize the evangelizing mission of the Christian university. First of all, it is significant to establish a new mission theology and strategy. As for the theology for the campus, we have discussed about a ‘proselytizing-oriented’ theology so far. Secondly, it is necessary to strengthen the education and training that can nurture students`` character. Lastly, we should make a great effort to build up the community life on campus between the professors and the students, and among students themselves.
