Labor has to be a subject of avoidance to many people in the oriental as well as in the western society. Labor had played the role of upholding basis to the society during the past agricultural age, but offered his part to capital in the changing process into the industrial society. Transforming the industrial society into knowledge-information society, in the recent years, knowledge and information is transferring the place of capital progressively. Such a result, the value of labor is also depreciating gradually. The purpose of this paper is to examine the biblical viewpoint of labor. We investigate, for this purpose, how the privilege and responsibility of labor has been changed and will be changed in the framework of "Creation - Fall - Redemption - Consummation" in chapter II. And we compare the secular standpoint and the biblical standpoint on labor and present their implications in chapter III. In the last part of the paper, we, on the basis of discussions mentioned above, review the attitude on labor God`s stewards ought to observe. In conclusion, we have to recall that what we are to become workers is not derived from Fall, but Creation and that labor was not a curse, but a blessing from the first.
