이 연구는 지역경찰의 교대근무 체계를 변화시키는 것이 지역경찰의 가장 중요한 업무 처리 중 하나라고 할 수 있는 112신고사건처리에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지를 실증적으로 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 특히, 전국 55개 지파출소를 대상으로 실시한 6개 형태의 교대근무제로의 변화가 전국112신고사건 처리건수, 112신고사건 도착시간, 112신고사건 처리시간 등에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는지를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 교대근무체계 개편은 112신고 사건 출동시간과 112신고 사건 처리소요시간 측면에서 긍정적인 효과를 일부 발견하였다.

This study aims at exploring the effects of the change of patrol police officers’ shift on emergency call, the most important task of patrol police, throughout nationwide police boxes. In particular, it analyzes how the number of emergency call, the time required for treating emergency call, and the time required for dispatching patrol officers to the scene changed after the shift system of patrol police officers altered. The results show that the change of patrol police shift leads to a positive impact on emergency call service.
