Highly porous materials such as mesoporous oxides have generated considerable interests as a consequence of their high surface areas, unusual stability, prccessability, well developed pores with narrow size distribution. Mesoporous silica thin film is used for various application. Especially, the thin film can be applied for support of sensing molecules that gives optical signals due to the transparent property. Here, we report the temperature sensing applicability of mesoporous silica thin film after the immobilization of various kinds of dyes, such as Rhodamine B, phenophtalein, Safarnin O and so on, within the mesopores.
