본 연구의 목적은 부모의 학대가 사이버 비행에 미치는 영향에서 우울의 매개효과를 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 한국청소년정책연구원이 구축한 한국아동·청소년패널조사(KCYPS)의 중학교 1학년 패널 2차년도 자료를 사용하여 구조방정식 모형분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 조사 결과, 부모의 학대는 청소년 자녀의 우울에 정적 영향을 미쳤으며, 우울은 사이버 비행에 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 우울은 부모의 학대와 사이버 비행간 관계를 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과에 기반하여 청소년의 사이버 비행관련 문제를 예방하고 대처할 수 있는 방안을 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study was to identify the causal relationship between perceived child abuse and cyber delinquency and to test the mediating effect of depression between child abuse and cyber delinquency among middle school students. To investigate the mediating effect, structural equation model was used and data were analyzed using bootstrapping method. Data was employed from the wave 2 of Korean Children and Youth Panel Study (KCYPS), and analyzed data of 2,207 second grade middle school students. The results of this study are as follows. First, perceived child abuse has a positive effect on depression of their child. Second, depression has a positive effect on cyber delinquency. Third, depression has a mediating effect between perceived child abuse and cyber delinquency. Finally, theoretical and practical implications of these findings and suggestions are discussed.
