본 연구는 우리나라의 수자원 정책의 전개 과정을 생태근대화론의 관점에서 평가하는데 있다. 이를 위해 이론적 배경으로서 생태근대화론을 고찰하고 우리나라 수자원 정책의 전개 과정에서 나타난 생태근대화를 각 시기별로 분석한다. 그리고 분석 결과를 바탕으로 우리나라의 수자원 정책의 특징을 고찰한다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze Korea water policy from the viewpoint of ecological modernization theory. The theoretical basis of ecological modernization and the status of research about water policy are summarized. And the pattern and characteristics of Korea water policy are derived from the empirical analysis of Korea case. The factors and implications of policy change in Korea case are analyzed with the theoretical basis of ecological modernization.
