This research dwells on the position of Korean Film Industry in global market. Even though Korean Film Industry is creating big performance in domestic market in terms of market share, it is not so good in whole marketplace in the earth. It would be matter of confrontation between national cinema and transnational cinema. With this research work, I found out Korean Film Industry has been inclined to be satisfied with national cinema which caused poor result of exporting and cultural exchange. So this research analyzed 3 cases of successful transnational cinema, Hollywood, Bollywood, Chinawood. Further this paper introduced ‘5 forces model’ created by Michael Porter in order to seek requirements of transnational cinema in the future. 5 keyword showing proper elements of transnational cinema are alternative(for same market), outreach(for suppliers), activity(for demand), ultimate(for new entrants), crossover(for substitutes). Having such competent elements of strategy, Korean Film Industry will go for it, transnational cinema in the near future.
