A film by Fatih Akin, , and presented by the Samdereli sisters are these pieces of work that had been created by Islamic second-generation migrants to Germany. Under this general topic to deal with cultural shocks, identity confusions, troubles and reconciliations, the two films try to propose the methods of integration in multi-cultural societies. First of all, in the film, , the cultures fight only severely as being obsessed by one`s own reasons and arguments within this obvious dichotomous structure. To begin with, the film discloses and criticizes how a minority culture is being destroyed by violence and exclusion mechanism of a dominant culture. But, what feels intriguing there is that the work never recommends the minority culture`s being conquered by the mainstream as a way to resolve issues and conflicts between the cultures. Individuals who do not seem to care about the other cultures but only are eager to fight in reach a reconciliation focusing on their paternal love found in the very inside of themselves. In other words, at the end of the film , of the current dominant cultures, this one which has been recognized as something safe and right by custom through all these human histories becomes a ``leading culture`` and, the movie implies that the leading culture will accept the ``other minority cultures`` and will help them to get along with it which, as far as this study assumes, is regarded to agree to what the assimilation model of integration has been arguing for. On the contrary, does not let individuals work on some single circumstance or anything of that kind but encourages them to get engaged in several events at the same time and, that is why audiences cannot observe dichotomous conflicts among the individuals in the film. In addition, in , diverse cultures co-exist and, the audiences do not see any dominant culture trying to take a lead in the multi-cultural society. After all, the cultures in the movie are not assimilated into one same value or into a different culture but, they harmonize as making good use of how to lead every culture to fair coexistence and, that phenomenon is understood to be similar to the multicultural model.
