본 연구의 목적은 루소의 자연주의 교육사상에 내포된 대안교육적 함의를 찾는 것이다. 이를 위해서 우선, 현대 교육의 문제점과 시대적 요구로부터 발생한 대안교육의 개념 및 배경, 대안교육의 유형과 특성을 살펴본 뒤, 루소의 자연주의 인간관과 루소의 교육관에 대해서 연구하였다. 루소의 자연주의 인간관에서는 자연의 개념과 인간의 본성에 대하여, 루소의 교육관에서는 교육의 의미와 목적, 자연주의 교육원리에 대하여 언급하였다. 마지막으로, 대안교육의 이념과 루소의 자연주의 교육사상에서는 대안교육의 이념과 목표, 대안교육의 이념적 토대로서 루소의 자연주의에 대하여 살펴봄으로써, 루소의 자연주의 교육사상의 대안교육에 대한 시사점을 발견하였다. 결론적으로, 루소의 자연주의 사상을 통해 대안교육의 이념적 배경으로서 ‘자연과 자유’의 개념을 도출하였고, 이를 바탕으로 대안교육이 지향하고 있는 아동중심의 교육, 합자연적인 원리, 부모교육과 교사교육의 중시, 경험중심의 교육에 대한 이념적 근거를 도출하였다.

The purpose of this study is to research the Alternative educational Implications from Rousseau`s Naturalism Educational Philosophy. First of all, I found out the Alternative Education`s -concept, background, types and characteristics - it was cause of the contemporary education`s issues and needs. Then I studies of Rousseau`s Naturalism and Educational Philosophy. Especially, for the Rousseau`s Naturalism, it is noted to be the concept of nature and human being. And the Rousseau`s Educational Philosophy is to be noted the meaning and purpose of education, Naturalism Educational Principle. The last, I found out The Implications of the Rousseau`s Naturalism for the Alternative Education Philosophy - the concept, goal, and the ideological foundation of the Alternative Education. Finally, through Rousseau`s Naturalism, I deduced “nature and free” from ideological foundation of the Alternative Education. The Alternative Education is based on the Rousseau`s Naturalism is oriented child-centered education, the ages of parents and teachers` education, and the experience-oriented education.
