This study is to evaluate the long-term outcomes of laparoscopic colposuspension with bilateral round-infundibulopelvic ligament after hysterectomy for uterovaginal prolapse in a single center. We preformed retrospective analysis with medical records in department of obstetrics and gynecology of Chung-Ang university hospital. 59 patients who were diagnosed as uterovaginal prolapse and had an colposuspension were obtained from the archives in the period January 1994 - December 2012. Mean follow-up was 27.5 (95% CI, 5.8-49.2) and most of patients were high-grade uterovaginal prolapse (grade 3 or 4 under the Baden-Walker classification system). 59 patients had no sign or recurrence of prolapse. Postoperative vaginal spotting (6.7%) was the most common symptom and wound disruption (3.3%) and adnexal hematoma (1.7%) were also developed. Laparoscopic colposuspension with bilateral round-infundibulopelvic ligament after hysterectomy can be an effective and safe surgical option in the treatment of uterovaginal prolapse.
