본 연구의 목적은 다문화 교육 프로그램이 다문화가정 유아의 자아개념, 적응도 및 사회적 관계에 미치는 영향을 밝히는 것이다. 이를 위해 경기도 안산시에 위치하고 있는 H어린이집 만5세 다문화가정 유아를 실험집단으로 선정하여 자아정체성과 긍정적인 사회적 관계 형성을 위한 다문화 교육 프로그램을 적용하였다. 그리고 다문화 교육 프로그램 적용 전 후의 자아개념, 적응도 및 사회적 관계를 측정하여 통제집단인 일반가정 유아의 점수와 비교하여 분석하였다. 분석결과, 다문화 교육 프로그램은 다문화가정 유아의 자아개념, 기관 적응도 및 사회적 관계에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of a multi-cultural education program on self-concepts, adjustments and social relationships of young children from multi-cultural families. The subjects include 15 children of 5 year-olds from multi-cultural families and 15 from general families in two classes at H day-care center in Ansan, Korea. The former made the experiment group, and the latter the control group. A multi-cultural education program was applied to the experiment group by the investigator and their homeroom teacher. The result of the study found that the impact of the multi-cultural education program was positively related to the self-concepts, adjustments and social relationships of the young children in multi-cultural families.
