숙종은 기해년(1719년) 59세에 기로소에 입소한다. 이를 축하하는 연향이 두 번 열렸다. 먼저 같은 해 4월 기로소 대신들을 위해 하사한 석연이 열렸고, 이어 9월에 임금께 연향을 드리는 진연의식이 열렸다. 이 연향에서는 모두 <유천지곡>이라는 악장이 불렸다. 그러나 <유천지곡>의 이름만 보일 뿐, 작품은 어디에도 기록이 없다. 본고는 이 악장 작품을 발견하는 것을 목표로 진행되었다. 이 작업은 세 단계를 거쳐 진행되었다. 먼저 기해년 두 연향의 목적을 재점검했다. 연향의 목적은 기로소 입소 기념이었고, 기로소 입소는 어첩에 존호를 써서 영수각에 봉안(안치)하는 일이다. 이에 숙종이 어첩에 쓴 존호를 언제 받았는지가 중요하다. 두 번째로 숙종이 존호를 받은 때가 즉위40주년을 기념하는 1713년이었음을 발견하였다. 당시 존호를 받는 의식을 거행했고, 이 의식을 위해 악장 <유천지곡>을 지었다. 세 번째로 <유천지곡>이 노래한 존호와 기해년 기로소 입소에서 쓴 존호가 같다는 사실을 확인했다. 따라서 1713년의 존호악장이 1719년 석연과 진연의 악장으로 쓰였음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 의식 거행에서 악장을 부른 사람과 의식에서의 위치를 확인했다. 이상과 같이 숙종조 기로연의 핵심은 존호에 있기 때문에, 존호악장, 즉 <유천지곡>이 사용되었다. 이로써 의식의 성격이 악장의 내용과 쓰임을 결정짓는다는 사실을 알 수 있다.

King Sukjong had entered Giroso at 59 years old in 1719 and two court banquets were held to celebrate it. Seokyeon was held for Giroso dignitaries in April and Jinyeon was held for King in September. In both banquets, the Ahkjang was sung but there was no text but only the title. The aim of this paper is to find out the text of it. The work proceeded at three levels. First, I rechecked the purpose of these two banquets. The purpose was celebration for ``Entering Giroso``, which is to enshrine Eocheob that Jonho was written at Youngsoogak. Therefore, the time when King Sukjong took this Eocheob is important. Second, I found out it was in 1713, which was the king`s 40th anniversary on the throne, when King Sukjong took jonho. There was a ceremony of it and was made for this ceremony. Third, I confirmed that the Jonho in and the other Jonho that is written for entering Giroso in 1719 are the same. So I also confirmed that Jonhoahkjang in 1713 was used in Seokyeon and Jinyeon in 1719. As mentioned above, Jonho is the key point of King Sukjong`s Giroyeon so Jonhoahkjang, that is , was used for it. It shows that the character of ceremony decide the text and use of Ahkjang.
