The Study on the Differences in Behavioral Problems Classified by Narrative Representations and a Low-income Class Children`s Adjustment into a Day Care Center

본 연구에서는 저소득층 유아를 대상으로 유아의 내적표상을 알아보고, 저소득층 유아의 내적표상별 문제행동과 보육시설 적응도는 어떠한 차이가 있는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2009년 6월부터 10월까지 저소득층 지역에 위치한 경기도 어린이집 두 곳을 임의 선정하여 만 4, 5세 49명의 유아의 내적표상과 문제행동 및 보육시설 적응을 측정하였으며 통계분석으로 군집분석과, 평균, 표준편차, ANOVA, Scheffe 검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과 저소득층 유아의 내적표상은 공감통합형, 회피불안형, 비조절회피형, 제한형으로 군집되었으며 저소득층 유아의 내적표상별 문제행동은 외현화 문제행동과 내재화 문제행동에서 군집간 유의한 차이가 있었다. 또한 저소득층 유아의 내적표상별 보육시설적응도를 살펴본 결과 친사회성과 기관에서의 정서상태에서 군집별 차이를 나타내고 있었다. 결론적으로 공감통합형 유아들은 정서적으로 조절이 풍부하고 문제행동이 낮으며 보육시설에서 적응을 잘하는 것으로 나타났으나 저소득층 유아중 가장 적은 수의 유아만이 긍정적인 요인을 가지는 공감통합형에 해당되었다.

The purpose of this study was to observe the behaviorl problems classified by narrative representations and the levels of adjustment in low-income class children into a day care center. This study also investigated the differences between behaviorl problems and the levels of adjustment. To achieve these research objectives, two daycare centers in the low-income district of Gyeonggi-do were selected. The research was conducted from June 2009 to October 2009 and examined 49 children . MSSB was used to perform a cluster analysis regarding content theme and performance of the children`s reaction to 13 episodes. For these processes, statistical methods, such as mean, standard deviation, ANOVA and scheffe were used. The result led to four cluster types: constrained type, uncontrolled and avoidant type, avoidant and anxious type, and empathetic and integrated type. An analysis on the differences in the behavior problems, which were classified using internal representations and the children`s level of adjustment into a day care center, revealed that there were significant differences in each cluster in terms of both external and internal behaviorl problems. Regarding the adjustment to a day care center of low-income children, there were significant differences in their sociality and their emotional states. In conclusion, meaningful differences were observed among the clusters in the behaviorl problems classified by narrative representations and in the levels of the low-income class children`s adjustment into the day care center. The children who were classfied as empathetic and integrated were able to type control their emotions and showed lowest rate of behaviorl problems; however, it is worth while to note that the empathetic and integrated type also had the least number of children.
