본 연구는 가정과 연계하여 포트폴리오 유아평가에 부모가 참여하는 것은 어떤 의미를 가지는지 알아보고 평가에 참여하는데 있어 어려운 점은 무엇인지 파악하여 더 나은 유아 평가에 대한 방향을 모색하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 경기도의 D유치원 학부모 10명을 대상으로 면담한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 포트폴리오 유아 평가에 부모가 참여하여 평가하는 것은 유아에 대한 이해를 높이고 유아의 발달 수준을 알게 해주며, 기관에 대한 이해도 함께 높일 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 가정과 연계한 유아평가를 통해 부모는 유아와 상호작용뿐만 아니라 유아의 생각을 교사와 공유하여 교사와 부모와 상호 연계작용을 할 수 있었다. 셋째, 가정과 연계한 포트폴리오 유아 평가의 어려움은 아직 어린 자녀와의 의사소통의 어려움과 유치원에서 하는 활동이 어떤 활동인지 정확이 알지 못해 활동 상황에 대한 사전 지식 없이 아이 이야기만 듣고 평가하는 것이 어렵다고 생각하였다. 넷째, 포트폴리오 유아 평가에 참여한 부모들은 더 나은 유아 평가를 위해서는 유아평가에 그치지 않고 피드백과 이를 반영하여 해결방안의 구체적인 방법이나 전문가적인 조언이 필요하다고 느끼고 있었다.

This research examined the story of parents who participated in portfolio children assessment. By connecting the family with what was being studied, we were able to determine the meaning of portfolio children assessment and the difficulties that were encountered when participating in portfolio children assessment. The goal of this research was to determine a better method of children assessment. The subjects of this research were 10 parents of children from a kindergarten class in Gyeonggi province. The results of the interview and survey are as follows. The first result is that parents` participation in portfolio children assessment helps their understanding of their children, informs them of the developmental status of their children, and improves their understanding of the institute. The second result was that parents were able to establish a connection with teachers as well as with their children by sharing their children`s thoughts with their teachers. The third result was that two difficulties of portfolio children assessment were determined. The first difficulty was that communication with young children was found to be difficult and the second difficulty was that the assessment process of relying on children`s explanation on activity circumstances without prior knowledge was also problematic. The fourth result was that the parents who participated in portfolio children assessment believed that they needed professional advices and detailed methods of solutions as well as feedback in order to better assess their children.
