본 연구는 보육교사의 전문성 인식 및 사회적 지지 지각이 보육교사의 심리적 소진과 어떠한 상관이 있는지 살펴보고, 보육교사의 심리적 소진에 관여하는 전문성 인식과 사회적 지지 지각의 상대적 영향력을 분석하는데 그 목적을 두고, 서울?수도권 소재의 영?유아보육시설에 종사하는 보육교사 244명을 대상으로 실시되었으며, 채택된 자료는 통계 프로그램 SPSS 프로그램을 이용하여 처리되었다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 보육교사의 심리적 소진은 보육교사의 전문성인식의 수준과 부적으로 유의미한 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 보육교사가 보육교사직을 고도의 전문적 지식과 능력을 요구하는 전문직이며, 프로그램을 운영하는데 있어 자유로운 의사결정이 가능하고, 높은 직업윤리가 요구된다고 인식할수록 심리적 소진이 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 보육교사의 심리적 소진과 보육교사가 지각한 사회적 지지의 수준간의 관계 또한 부적으로 유의미한 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 직장 내의 사회적 지지와 직장외의 정서적 지지가 심리적 소진과 밀접한 연관성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 보육교사의 전문성 인식과 사회적 지지 모두 보육교사의 심리적 소진에 영향력을 갖는 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 보육교사가 보육교사직을 고도의 전문적 지식과 능력을 요구하는 전문직으로 인식하지 않을수록, 직장 내 사회적 지지와 직장 외 사회적 지지 수준이 낮다고 인식할수록 심리적 소진을 크게 경험하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

This study has intended to look into any correlation between child-care teachers` awareness of professionalism & social support of perception and their burnout and to analyze the relative influence between teachers` awareness of professionalism and social support of perception which involved in their burnout (through multiple regression and Pearson`s correlation method.) An investigation was made against total 244 teachers` burnout and awareness of professionalism & social support of perception and the result was applied to this study. The results are as follows. First, there was a meaningful correlation negatively between the levels of child-care teachers` awareness of professionalism and their burnout. Secondly, the levels of teachers` social support of perception and their burnout showed a meaningful correlation negatively. Lastly, the teachers` awareness of professionalism and social support of perception together also influenced their burnout. Especially, the less the child-care teachers perceive their child-care job as a profession which requires highly expertised knowledges & capabilities and they perceive their job as highly supported one internally in the work places and externally in the society, the more they experience burnout.
