이 논문은 블라봐츠키의 신지학의 이론이 20세 기 초의 추상미술의 이념에 수용된 부문을 연구하였다. 20세기 초의 추상미술의 정신은 20세기 말의 추상미술의 정신에 영향을 주는 하나의 축으로써 20세기 초의 추상미술의 정신의 기반이 되는 이론 들을 살펴봄으로써 현대 추상 회화의 정신적인 흐름이 되는 하나의 지류를 알아보는 데에 있다. 인간의 의식은 정신과 물질이 분리된 실체가 아니라 7개의 존재 구조를 통해 자연과 우주의 모든 존재들과 연결된 실체라는 블라봐츠키의 신지학의 이론은 애니 베산트와 리드비터에 의해 음과 색채 와 사유와의 상호 관계를 해명하였으며, 루돌프 스 타이너와 우스펜스키를 거쳐 20세기 초의 추상 미 술가들에게 전해졌다. 인간의 사유는 애니 베산트와 리드비터에 의하면 음과 색채를 지닌 물질적인 실체를 만들어냄으로써 자연과 우주의 모든 존재들과 상호 작용을 하며, 의 식의 진화를 한다고 말한다. 이러한 애니 베산트와 리드비터의 음과 색채의 이론은 루돌프 스타이너와 우스펜스키를 거쳐 칸딘스키는``진동``의 개념을 통해 음과 색채와 정신과의 상호 작용을 통해 의식 의 상승을 통한 정신의 실체를 추상 미술의 이념에 정립하려 하였으며, 몬드리안은 블라봐츠키의 신지 학의``진화``의 개념을 그의 작업에 있어서 주된 주제로 설정하여 추상미술의 이념의 기반을 세우려 하였다. 쿠프카 역시 블라봐츠키의 신지학의 이론과 리드 비터의 색채 이론에 영향을 받아 인간의 감각 너머 의 후광과도 같은 실체를 비정형의 형식으로 담아 내려 하였으며, 말레비치는 블라봐츠키의 신지학의 이론에서 의식의 진화의 개념을 과학의 개념으로 대치하고, 상상력을 통해 초감각적인 의식과도 같은 비대상적인 감성을 획득할 수 있다는 절대주의의 기하학적인 형식을 탄생시켰다. 20세기 초의 추상미술의 정신은 정신과 물질이 분리되지 않는 인간의 근원적인 정신을 드러내려 하였으며, 몬드리안에게서 보듯이 삶의 태도와 조형 의 형식을 분리하지 않으며, 의식의 진화를 통해 인 간의 근원적인 실체로 나아갈 수 있는 추상 미술의 이념을 정립하려 하였다.

This essay explore Blavasky` theosophy, whi -ch partly included the spirit of abstract arts in the beginning of 20 Century. His theosophic mind was as the kind of basis which led to the flow of idea that modern abstraction art works. This theory aimed explanation of that human beings`s consciousness that is not being separate from substance between mental and body but is connected with substance which is related to all of things in Universe including the nature through seven being hierarchic structures. Especially, his theosophy is known as the theory of relation between sound and colors through vibration. By these people Rodolf Steiner and Uspensky, such theories were handed down to artists who are involved in abstract arts. They said that the being nature and Universe is by interactive responses and their consciousness can be with evolution. Anni Besant and Le -adbeater` both theories could effect on Kandinsky`idea that he considered ``vibration`` as interaction of melody and color, Kandinsky tried to set up the idea of abstract art, in which interactive response that is as the certain substance is with consciousness ascending while Mondrian also tried to develop the evolutionary concept of theosophy. Kupka also could be affected by both Blavasky` theosophy and Leadbeater` color theory, which included in the irregular form of substance that seems to be lightness beyond human being`s sensation. Malevich replaced evolution of consciousness of scientific concept and non- objective sense is arisen in transcendental consciousness by imagination and then that is based on the birth of geometrical form in absolutism. The spirit of abstract art revealed essential human being`mind which is not divided into body and mind. Such attitudes of the life and plastic mind showed not only the basic unified mind through evolution of consciousness but also it intended to set the idea of abstract arts.
