본 연구는 2012년 9월부터 전면 실시되는 유치원운영위원회에 대한 사립유치원교사의 인식을 알아보고자 하였다. 이러한 목적을 위해 경남의 사립유치원에 근무하는 교사 258명을 대상으로 설문조사 하였으며 자료 분석은 빈도와 백분율을 사용하였다. 사립유치원교사는 유치원운영위원회에 대해서 들은 경험이 60%를 넘는 수준이었다. 대체로 유치원운영위원회는 매우 필요하며, 운영위원의 정례모임, 운영위원을 위한 연수, 교육과정 소위원회의 운영에 대한 필요성에 대한 인식도 높게 나타났다. 운영위원의 교원위원과 학부모위원은 사리가 분명하고 유치원 관련 업무에 적극적인 사람이 가장 적합하다고 인식하였으며, 운영위원회의 기능 및 성격의 필요성에 대해서도 높은 인식도를 보였다.

This study was to understand private kindergarten teacher`s perception on the Kindergarten Council that have been carried out from September 2012. The subjects of this study were 258 private kindergarten teachers. Data were collected and analyzed using frequency, percentage, the mean. Private kindergarten teachers who experienced about the Kindergarten Council were over 60%. They recognized that regular meeting of Council, training for the Council members, and curriculum subcommittee`s operations were very necessary. Private kindergarten teachers also agreed that parents and teachers who will take a role of member of Council should be thoughtful, have judgements, active in kindergarten`s job. Functions and characteristics of the Kindergarten Council were revealed with high perceptions.
