본 연구에서는 유아교육기관 학부모를 대상으로 숲 유치원 교육에 대한 인식과 요구 정도를 살펴봄으로써 숲 유지원의 활성화를 위한 기초자료를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 유치원과 어린이집의 학부모가 작성한 310부의 설문지를 분석하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 숲 유치원 교유에 대한 제반적인 인식이 높게 나타났으며 숲 유치원 교육의 필요성과 숲과 인간에 대한 인식, 숲 유치원의 교육효과 및 교육내용에 대해 대부분의 어머니들은 긍정적으로 공강하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 숲 유치원의 운명방안에 대한 요구를 분석한 결과 어머니들은 안전성이 확보되며 주1회, 1-2시간 이내로 유치원 활동과 연계 통합된 생활형 숲 유치원의 운영형태를 요구하였으며, 숲 유치원의 교사로는 교사와 숲 해설가로 숲과 인간의 공존관계에 대한 인식을 가진 교사가 적합하여, 숲 유치원 교육에 대한 부모교육이 필요하며 참여를 희망하였다. 숲 유치원의 활성화와 관련하여 공간 확보 및 주변여건의 개선에 대한 지원과 다양한 숲 유치원 프로그램의 개발과 보급이 필요하다 등 다양한 의견을 개진하였다.
This Study aims to investigate the perceptions and the needs of mothers in the kindergarten to get some information on development of the Forest Kindergarten. The subjects were 310 mothers of young children in kindergartens that were managing related forest program for a fews years in Ulsan. To measure perceptions and needs on the forest kindergarten, the questionnaire (2013) survey was developed by researcher in this study. Data collected was analyzed by using frequency, percentage. mean and standard deviation with SPSS 18.0. The results were as follows: First. the general perceptions of the forest kindergarten were higher. and also the most of mothers were sympathized on necessity of the forest kindergarten, the forests and human. the educational effects of the forest kindergarten and the educational contents of the forest kindergarten. Second. as an analysis of the management plan for the needs of the fore>t kindergarten. mothers required a combination type of forest kindergarten activities and regular kindergarten activities that were secured safety. and also they wanted to manage forest kindergarten within one to two hours. once a week. mothers Pointed out both an early childhood teacher and a forest commentator as an appropriate teachers that had perceptions on coexistence relation of human and forest. With respect to the activation of the forest kindergarten, mothers pointed out various comment on space and improvement of surrow1dings, development and supply of forest program.
