본 연구는 외현화 행동문제를 가진 아동의 교우관계와 사회적 기술 향상을 위해 분노관리 프로그램을 개발·적용하여 그 효과를 밝히고자 수행되었다. 연구대상은 외현화 행동문제를 가진 초등학교 1∼3학년 남아 33명과 여아 8명, 총 41명이었으며, K-CBCL 검사를 사용하여 선정하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 분노관리 프로그램은 게임놀이치료적 접근, 사회적 기술훈련 접근, 심리치료적 접근을 포함하고 있다. 프로그램은 주1회 각 학년별로 매 회기 50분간 12주에 걸쳐 총 12회기가 진행되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 분노관리 프로그램이 외현화 행동문제를 가진 아동들의 외현화 행동문제를 통계적으로 유의하게 감소시켰으며, 분노조절능력과 교우관계 및 사회적 기술을 통계적으로 유의하게 향상시켰다. 본 연구결과는 오늘날 심각한 사회문제로 대두되고 있는 학교폭력의 가해학생의 대다수가 외현화된 행동문제 특성을 지니고 있는 것으로 보고되고 있어 학교폭력을 예방하는 차원에서 외현화된 행동문제를 가진 아동들을 대상으로 분노관리 프로그램이 조기에 중재될 필요가 있음을 시사하고 있다.

This study was intended to investigate the effects and develop anger management program for enhancement of peer relationship and social skills of children with externalized behavioral problems. The subjects were 41children with externalized behavioral problems selected 33 boys and 8 girls in their first-third grade of an elementary school. These children were selected by K-CBCL. The anger management program included game-play therapeutic approach, social skills training approach and psychotherapeutic approach. The anger management program was conducted a total 12 session, once a week. One session was about 50 minutes for each grade. The results of this study showed that externalized behavioral problems of the subjects were decreased with statistically significant difference and peer relationship ability, social skills and anger management ability of the subjects were enhanced with statistically significant difference. The results of this study suggested that anger management program have to implement children with externalized behavioral problems in early stages for preventing school violence. Because many studies reported that students offered school violence are having characters of externalized behavioral problems.
