본 연구에서는 철도물류활성화를 위한 미래 물류기술에 대한 전망과 비전에 대하여 기술하고, 미래의 철도에 관한 중점사업을 연구함으로써 정부 및 공공기관, 산업계 등에서 철도물류활성화를 위한 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 도로운송에 높은 의존도를 보인 국내 물류환경이 친환경 및 높은 경제성을 요구하는 국제적 트렌드에 따라 철도운송에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있으며, 철도물류 활성화를 위한 연구는 지속적으로 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 이러한 연구가 실현되거나 효과적으로 추진되고 있지는 못하고 있는 실정이다. 또한, 우리나라의 철도기술은 선진국에 비해 67%로 낮은 수준이며, 철도가 지니고 있는 단점을 보완하는 기술이 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 철도의 고속성, 친환경성, 안전성, 보안성을 강화하고, 관련시설 및 장비를 철도와 효율적으로 통합함으로써, 철도물류를 활성화할 수 있을 것이다.

This article explains the prospect and vision on future of the logistics technology. In addition, we describe how to activate the railway logistics, and thereby define the role of the government, public institutions and industries. Korean logistics that mainly rely on the road transport have increased concern on the railway transport since the means are eco-friendly and high economically. However, the studies of the railway technologies were not performed well. The level of the railway technology of Korea is 67% compared to advanced countries, and the researches on complementing the disadvantage of the railway were not carried out properly in Korea. Therefore, we should strengthen the speed, eco-friendly performance, system safety and security of the railway, and efficiently integrate the railway and logistics facilities. In this manner, the railway logistics can be improved greatly compared to the other transportation modes in Korea.
