Lotus pedestal dance in Koryo Dynasty has been originated from the dance of Jaji area in Song Dynasty. The dance of Jaji area in Song Dynasty, amalgamated with the character of Han tribe, was named based on the name of the area. The lotus pedestal is another name based on the expression of using the lotus as it was introduced to Koryo Dynasty. The lotus pedestal has been developed and naturalized in terms of its aesthetic viewpoint, preference and environment in Chosun Dynasty after being introduced to Koryo.
