It is important that we make an analysis the educational discourse of relation to the spirit of the times in Korean modem times. Because education is not able to separate the spirit of the times. At this time the most important problem of our education is nonexistence of educational philosophy that is subjective. The nonexistence of educational philosophy is caused by want of thoughtful integration. The thoughts of modem Korea is to be spreaded out under the influence of modern western philosophy. The korean thinkers of enlightenment and liberalist under the Rule of Japanese Imperialism receive the thought of modern western thought-liberalism, social evolutionary, nationalism. Especially, after the Samil Independence Movement in 1919 the Korean socialists receive the Marxism as the struggle idea for independence movement of Korea. Also Suunim of Chondokyo(天道敎) is an reinterpretation of the Donghak(東學) thought to use the modem western discourse and it is more subjective. The cultural imperialism of american christianity is also spread as the spiritual aggression. Christianity has been influence on educational discourse of present times of Korea. In Korea mission school is an instrument for American capitalism. The inner world of Korean people that educated by them is helpful America. But most of researchers regard the Donghak thought as Korean nationalism. The Donghak thought has been a educational idea of post modernism that is to integrate the nature and human beings, individual and whole, and objective and subjective. This idea gives us suggestions as to post modem education and unity education.
