Introduction: Cardiogenic shock associated with acute myocardial infarction present a high mortality. Percutaneous cardiopulmonary support and intra-aortic ballon pump has been widely used for cardiogenic shock in which refractory for medical treatment. Case report: We present the case of a 70-year-old woman with cardiogenic shock after ST elevation acute myocardial infarction. As treatment guideline, we planned percutaneous coronary intervention. During coronary angiography, cardiac arrest was noted and resuscitation was initiated. Despite cardiopulmonary resuscitation and medical treatment, cardiac arrest was continued. After rapidly performed percutaneous cardiopulmonary support and intra-aortic ballon pump, patient recovered stable vital sign. Then, transferred operating room, undergone successful coronary artery bypass graft. After coronary artery bypass graft, neurologic sequelae was not noted and discharged from hospital without dyspnea, chest pain. Conclusion: In refractory cardiogenic shock, percutaneous cardiopulmonary support is a useful option.
