Since Emperor Wu of Han, the students of Confucianism learned scriptures had entered government service. They became a new ruling class in Han Dynasty, after a vassal of merit fell in circumstances. It is during the reign of Emperor Xuan of Han when they advanced into a bureaucrat in earnest. The reign of the Emperor had conducted by the thought of School of law, among the coexistence of a Confucian scholar and a School of law. In this circumstances, it was the Wang Ji from Langye Commandery who insisted on the administration of the state by the Confucian thought. Wang Ji had not only given shape to a reform plan by the students of Confucianism in the early Han Dynasty, but established the foundation to advance into bureaucrat of the students. Therefore, in this paper, I investigated an aspect of wang Ji as a bureaucrat and a Confucian scholar. Wang Ji`s family was the founder of the last name of Langye Wang, which was a greatest nobility civilian family in the Southern and Northern Dynasties period. Thus to understand the aristocratic circles in the period, the activities of the family should be inquired. The examined details is following; Firstly, the Five Books of Confucianism had been actively initiated in Langye Commandery which was the stage of action for Wang Ji and his family, in the early Han Dynasty. Especially, in the commandery, a paternal knowledge that a family pass down a specific scriptures was widespread. This scientific tradition had became the background which the student of Confucianism from the commandery, including Wang Ji, could advance into government. Secondly, Wang Ji as a government official insisted a rule by the thought of Confucianism. As a concrete reform plan, he opposed the centralization of imperial power and asserted the participation of politics by Confucian scholars. Futhermore, he criticized an extravagance by imperial family, and insisted a curtailment of expenditure and a serious consideration of agriculture. Finally, Wang Ji was proficient in the Five Books of Confucianism, especially the Poems of Han(韓詩) and the Qi`s Confucian Analects(齊論語), and handed down into the province of Qi and Lu to educate students. The Wang`s family passed down the Liangqiu Yi(梁丘易) as a paternal knowledge to contribute a progress of study. Wang Ji`s activities as a government official became the foundation which made Confucian scholars advance into a government official, and contributed to the development of Confucianism in The Han Dynasty through the initiation of the knowledge on scriptures. This activities Wang Ji and his family formed the basis of the growth of the Wang`s family.
