The Effect of Ujjayi Yoga Breathing Practice to Heart Rate, Somatic Activity Quotient, Autonomic Nervous Quotient, Central Nervous Quotient and Psycho-emotional Quotient Changes

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of ujjayi yoga breathing practice and heart rate and somatic activity quotient and autonomic nervous quotient and central nervous quotient and psycho-emotional quotient changes. Twenty persons volunteers, were divided into two experimental group for ujjayi yoga breathing practice (n=10) and a control group (n=10). Experimental group had 1 weekly ten minute sessions and the control group did not perform ujjayi yoga breathing practice during this period. The major outcomes are as follows; The control group significantly reduced heart rate. The control group significantly increased somatic activity quotient and autonomic nervous quotient and central nervous quotient and psycho-emotional quotient.
