본 연구는 영아 초기적응 과정에서의 교사-영아, 교사-부모와의 관계에서 드러난 교사의 어려움을 알아보고자 하였다. 본 연구의 참여자는 P시에 위치한 영아만을 대상으로 운영하는 대학 내 D어린이집의 만 1세반 영아 10명과 부모 10명, 담임교사 2명이다. 연구 결과에 의하면 첫째, 영아와의 관계에서 드러난 교사의 어려움은 동시에 5명의 엄마되기, 제어할 수 없는 영아들의 행동, 영아교사로서의 양육경험 부족, 한순간도 쉴 수 없는 일과로 어려움을 나타내고 있었다. 둘째, 부모와의 관계에서 드러난 교사의 어려움은 초기적응에 대한 부모들의 협조 부족, 자기 아이만 바라보기, 부모들의 불안감과 불신감, 초임교사라는 꼬리표로 인해 어려움을 가지고 있었다.

This study attempts to reveal the difficulties faced by the teachers in teacher-infants, and teacher-parents relationships during the process of infants` early adaption. The participants of the study were 10 infants (all 1 year of age), their 10 parents, and two teachers of child care center D which is located inside of a college in city P and specifically deals with infants. The major results of the study are as follows: First, the teachers` difficulties as revealed in their relationships with the infants are 1) becoming a mother figure to 5 different children at the same time, 2) uncontrollable behaviors of the infants, 3) their lack of experience as a caregiver, 4) a daily routine that does not let one rest even for a moment. Second, in their relationships with the parents, the difficulties faced by the teachers were found to be 1)parents who do not participate in early adaption, 2) parents who only focus on their own child, 3) the anxiety and distrust from parents, and 4) the label that reads ``first job as a teacher.``
