This study examines the impact of the leaders of producer organizations, and how they can improve the activities of their organizations and generate more income. In order to measure the impact of the leadership and the competence of the leaders, a core model has been identified and built by based on previous studies. Furthermore, a survey was conducted and 181 leaders were interviewed in Jeollabuk Province, South Korea. The results have been analyzed by using "structural equation modeling". According to analysis, the competencies of leaders, which consisted of qualities, attitudes, roles, values, comradery and networking, enabled them to activate their producer organizations. The improved activity of their organizations has had a direct, positive impact on farm incomes, but no proof has been found that supports leadership`s influence on farm income.
