본 논문은 오늘날 학교교육 전반의 문제와 청소년의 문제가 기존 전통적 지능이론 중심의 교육에서 비롯되었다고 보고 이를 대체할 다중지능과 감성지능, 사회지능과 도덕지능을 소개하고 있다. 또한 다양한 인간능력을 인정·개발해야 할 뿐만 아니라 각 지능이론의 적용과 상호보완적인 가능성을 제시하고 있다. 또한, 전 세계에서 성공적인 교육으로 평가되고 있는 덴마크와 핀란드 교육의 고찰을 통해 공통의 핵심가치가 자유와 평등, 책임, 성실, 공정의 원리를 통해 친절과 자제, 감성과 배려, 관용과 존중의 덕목을 재확인함으로써 우리나라 전체 교육뿐만 아니라 도덕교육의 방향을 설정하고 실천하는데 의미가 있음을 살피고 있다.

The purpose of this paper is to find out answers to connected with moral intelligence and moral education for practices of moral society. Today, traditional IQ(intellectual quotient) is occurred cause to moral crisis and moral problems. Instead of traditional IQ(intellectual quotient), new intelligence theory is introduced. That is multiple intelligence, emotional intelligence, social intelligence, moral intelligence. There is common principle and virtues ― freedom, equality, responsibility, empathy, conscience, self-control, respect, kindness, tolerence, fairness ― in the four intelligence theory. The principle and virtues in various intelligence theory show direction with goal and purpose of korean education problem and korean moral crisis, korean moral education.
