에니어그램은 고대의 사상과 현대 심리학이 접목된 성격 이론으로서 인간의 성격을 아홉 가지로 나누고 각 성격 유형들 간의 연관성을 설명한 것이다. 본 논문에서는 에니어그램 성격 유형에서 말하는 성격 유형의 특성은 무엇이며, 각 성격 유형 내에서의 발달 양상은 어떠한지와 성격 유형 간의 상호관련성은 어떠한 방식으로 설명되고 있는지를 중점적으로 서술하였다. 이를 토대로 에니어그램 성격 유형 이론의 교육현장에의 적용 가능성과 후속 연구를 위한 방향을 제시하였다.

The Enneagram of Personality is a typology of human personality. The typology defines nine personality types (also called "enneatypes"), which are also indicated by the points of a geometric figure, called an enneagram which also indicate some of the connections between the types. In this paper, we have explored the nature of nine personality types, an internal structure within each personality type, levels of development which makes up the personality type itself. And we have suggested the applications for the education field.
