목적: 본 연구의 목적은 뇌졸중 환자의 가족지지와 삶의 질 사이의 관계를 파악하고, 지지집단에 따라 대상자의 가족지지 정도와 삶의 질에 차이가 있는지를 알아보기 위함이다. 연구방법: 연구대상은 67명의 뇌졸중 환자를 대상으로 일반적 특성에 관한 설문지를 작성하고, 가족지지 척도를 사용하여 가족지지 정도를 알아보았으며, 삶의 질을 알아보기 위하여 stroke specific quality of life(SS-QOL)을 사용하여 측정하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 뇌졸중 환자의 가족지지와 삶의 질은 통계학적으로 유의한 상관관계를 보였다(p＜.01). 둘째, 가족이 간병하는 집단의 가족지지 정도가 가족이 간병하지 않는 집단에 비해 높게 나타났다(p＜.01). 셋째, 가족이 간병하는 집단의 삶의 질이 가족이 간병하지 않는 집단에 비해 높게 나타났다(p＜.01). 결론: 본 연구의 결과를 통해 가족지지가 높으면 삶의 질이 향상된다는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, 뇌졸중 환자에게 있어서 가족이 간병하는 집단의 가족지지 정도가 더 높게 나타나 뇌졸중 환자의 삶의 질을 높이기 위해서는 가족의 지지가 중요한 요인임을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 뇌졸중 환자의 신경학적 장애를 회복시키기 위한 치료에 가족의 긍정적인 지지가 더해진다면 높은 재활의 성공과 더불어 환자의 삶의 질이 더욱 향상될 것으로 생각된다.

Objective: This study was conducted to see if a correlation between quality of life according to the family support of stroke patients. Methods: This study examined 67 stroke patients at K hospital from June 2011 to August 2011. Instruments used for this study are family support scale and stroke specific quality of life(SS-QOL). Result: First, the study revealed statistically meaningful gaps in the items such as the family support and quality of life(p＜ .01). Second, the study revealed that the degree of family support was higher for the group of patients who were nursed by family members than the group of patients who were nursed by non-family members(p＜ .01). Third, the study revealed that the degree of quality of life was higher for the group of patients who were nursed by family members than the group of patients who were nursed by non-family members(p＜ .01). Conclusion: It suggests that the family support is a very important factor to help the stroke patients conduct to improve their quality of life. Thus, if the patients can obtain a positive support from their families during the treatment to recover their neurological disorders, they will be able to achieve not only the better success in rehabilitation but also the better quality of life.
