The purpose of study was to examine and explore sociocultural meaning between Korea and Japan baseball. The paper attempted to discuss social and cultural prospective review of Korea and Japan baseball. In Korea and Japan, baseball flourished in schools and colleges, professional. Especially high school baseball was the most popular sport in Korea and Japan before professional baseball took over that position. Today, pro-baseball in Korea is one of the most heavily attended sporting events in the country. On the other hand, baseball in Japan is still cultural symbol socially, has meaning more than sports. In Japan, baseball has created various values and cultural contents in field of animation, fiction, movies, game etc. In conclusion, baseball in Korea is considered as popular sports. In Japan, baseball is considered as ``religion``, has effected and impact on sociocultural area.
