This study was conducted to investigate the flora of Chlibaldo, Jeollanam-do, South Korea from 17 May, to 20 August, 2011. The vascular plants were identified as 81 taxa in total, including 43 families, 71 genera, 67 species, 1 subspecy, 11 varieties and 2 forms. According to the list of specially designated plants by Ministry of Environment, 10 taxa among theses which included degree Ⅴ(Phytolacca esculenta), degree Ⅲ(Litsea japonica, Raphiolepis umbellata, Rubus schizostylus) and degree Ⅰ(Lemmaphyllum microphyllum, Arisaema heterophyllum, Melandryum oldhamianum for. roseum, Sedum verticillatum, Pittosporum tobira, Euonymus japonica, Camellia japonica, Elaeagnus macrophylla, Lysimachia mauritiana, Aster spathulifolius) were recorded in the investigated area. The flora of naturalized plants in the surveyed site included 7 taxa, Avena fatua, Rumex crispus, Chenopodium album, Chenopodium glaucum, Brassica juncea var. integrifolia, Erigeron canadensis, Sonchus oleraceus. In order to conserve the flora of Chilbaldo, we suggest that the establishment of ecological learning area be essential in minimizing human disturbance and building effective management strategy through continous monitoring in the ecosystem.
