본 연구는 교수-학습활동에서 교육매체가 갖는 특성을 검토해 보았으며, 지리 교수-학습 활동에 일러스트레이터 소프트웨어 프로그램을 활용한 결과를 기술적으로 정리한 것이다. 구체적인 교수-학습 내용은 학생들이 그래픽 프로그램을 이용하여 크리스탈러(Christaller)와 뢰쉬(L?sch)의 중심지 이론 중 포섭원리를 작도하는 것과 작도를 통해서 이론의 원리를 이해하는 것이다. 연구 결과 일러스트레이터 프로그램을 교수-학습활동에 적용할 수 있다는 점을 확인하였다. 특히 뛰어난 그래픽 기능은 중심지 이론의 다양한 포섭원리를 그리면서 이해하는데 효과가 있다는 결론을 얻었다. 다만, 일러스트레이터 프로그램을 활용한 교수-학습 활동은 수업의 내·외적 환경과 학습자의 수준을 고려해서 활용해야 할 것으로 판단된다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics of instructional media in teaching-learning activities, and to organize the results of using illustrator software program in geography teaching-learning activities. Specific teaching-learning content contains that students draw the nesting principle of central place theory of Christaller and L?sch, and understand the principles of the theory through drawing. The results confirmed that illustrator program could be applied onto the teaching-learning activities. Especially, it`s concluded that the excellent graphic feature was very effective to draw and understand the various nesting principle. However, teaching-learning activities using illustrator program should consider the internal and external environment and the learner`s level for its usage.
