This study verified what are the main impact factors for the introduction of Supply Chain Management(SCM), a developed management technique for the reinforcement of the competitiveness of Convention Industry, and analyzed expected effectiveness on how it effects on the performance of a company. This study identified four main points. Frist, preceding literature explanations of the factors on the influences of the introduction of SCM are also prevalent in the Korean Convention Industry. The supportive leadership of CEO should be prioritized over any other factors, and the enhancement of service quality proves to be the most important item for the perceptual degree of expected effectiveness. Second, this study showed that CEO leadership support and the construction of a security system for information among partners directly influences the expected effectiveness. Third, this study verified that the shortening of service hours was significantly influenced by all factors except governmental support. Fourth, information share among partners shows negative(-) correlation with dependent variables, which implies it is actually difficult to share information, and thus firms require trust-building and institutional device among the SCM partners.
