This study is intended to consider how to create job opportunities for dance majoring students in terms of the art an culture policies. More specifically, it centers on the government-led public sector or social welfare and culture policy. If we understand cultural welfare as a socio-cultural service to improve cultural life in tandem with cultural needs of ordinary people, dance education should be one crucial aspect of cultural welfare currently in need. With this in mind, I would like to several suggestions: first and foremost, dance art education should be included in social welfare arena in which every one can enjoy art and culture. Second, art and culture social welfare policies should be set to realist dance art service and furthermore, to create jobs for dance majoring students. Third, dance art education should be linked to policy making at the level of art welfare so that dance can be a regular feature of national welfare. Fourth, these attempts will bring out creation of many jobs and thus dance art education should be considered in terms of social welfare. Fifth, dance majoring students should be able to find jobs as dance-related social workers in such fields as public art and culture welfare foundation, dance-related social work, art and culture welfare center for the seniors and/or the physically challenged and lifelong equation.
