The purpose of this thesis is to analyze how the complication arised with the media policy of colonial authority, the real state of colonial media and the media strategy of Proletarian Literature and how they are related to each other in the 1920`s. The reason why I do this study about Proletarian Literature is that there had been overlooking of the relativity of Proletarian Literature with colonial media by the previous studies. The circumstance of media in the 1920`s had formed interaction between the media policy of colonial authority and the subject of colonial media. And it caused the foundation and development for Proletarian Literature. On the other hand, it can also be said that it caused a negative aspect that hampered the growth of Proletarian Literature. However, even though they were on a conflict with each other, Proletarian Literature intended to prepare a countermeasure against censorship system and overcome the difficulties in art movement. Kim, Gi-Jin suggested a legitimate strategic way to detour the censorship with using the media alternatively. On the contrary, Bolshevist group offered the socialist artists an anti-legitimate strategy that break the censorship through the media and organized struggle. Existing in a different places from each other, respectively in Seoul and Tokyo, became the reason it occurs. Another reason could be having a dissimilar in artist identity. The former had a conceptional actuality and strategic flexibility, but the latter insisted on the principle and organization in countermeasure. They should have banded together through a productive debate. But they didn`t do because there was a different aspect between their ideology and method in art movement.
