본 연구는 한부모 가족과 양부모 가족의 청소년들의 스트레스가 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향을 파악하고, 이들이 지각하는 가족탄력성이 스트레스의 부적 효과를 완화하는 매개변수로서 역할을 하는지 알아보기 위한 연구이다. 본 연구에서 사용한 자료는 서울·경기·인천 등 수도권지역의 중·고등학교, 지역사회복지관, 한부모가족지원센터, 자활사업단을 통해 표집된 690명에게 설문조사 한 결과이다. 한부모 가족이 양부모 가족보다 일상생활스트레스 수준이 더 높고, 규범준수 수준은 더 낮게 나타났으며 가족강인성도 높았다. 스트레스 수준은 학교생활적응을 낮추고, 가족탄력성은 학교생활적응을 높이는 결과를 보였으며 가족탄력성은 스트레스와 학교생활적응 간에 부분매개효과를 갖는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 양부모 가족과 한부모 가족에서 매개효과를 가지는 변수는 가족응집성과 가족적응성으로 동일하였으나 종속변수인 학교생활적응의 하위요인에서는 차이가 있었다. 매개효과는 양부모와 한부모 가족 모두에게서 발견되었으나 양부모 가족은 가족응집성이 학교흥미와 규범준수에, 가족적응성은 학교흥미와 학업성취에 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 한부모 가족은 가족응집성과 가족적응성이 모두 학교흥미에만 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effect of family resilience in the relationship between adolescent`s stress and school adjustment. Data were collected through the questionnaire from 690 students sampled from middle and high school, local community welfare center, support center for single parent family and the self-support group of single parent family in Seoul, Gyeonggi province, and Incheon city. Single parent families are higher in everyday life stress level, and family hardiness, but lower in norm compliance than two-parent families. The stress level lowers the school adjustment but the family resilience level raises the school adjustment. The family resilience works as a mediating variable between the stress and the school adjustment. In both two-parent family and single parent family, family cohesion and family adaptability mediate between the stress and school adjustment. In the case of two-parent family, family cohesion has mediating effects on school interests and school norm compliance while family adaptability has mediating effect on school interests and academic achievement. Among single parent families, both family cohesion and family adaptability have mediating effects only on the school interests.
