제7차 초등영어 교육과정의 발전적 고찰에 관한 연구: 학생의 학년과 사교육 경험 중심

This study is to investigate the current national elementary English curriculum from the viewpoint of the grade and private education of students. This study was conducted by means of quantitative and qualitative methods. The subjects of quantitative and qualitative study were students living in Seoul, Kyoungi, Chungnam, Honam, Youngnam, Jeju. The analyses of quantitative study were conducted by of one-way ANOVA and t-test. The qualitative study was performed in terms of in-depth interview and class observation. The results of this study show that level-based activities were not given to the students in the current elementary English curriculum according to the grade and private education. Cultural materials and activity-based materials of reading and writing were nor given to the students sufficiently. The current curriculum did not give the students a lot of fun and achievement. Furthermore, the students had a lot of burdens in learning English at the school and private education. It is recommended that fun and level based activities be given a lot in the next elementary English cunicuham. It is also suggested that the contents be upgraded according to the grade. It should also include a lot of other cultures to upgrade the contents. Besides, performance assessment should be given to the students according to the grade and private education.
