본 연구의 목적은 한국화를 활용한 조형활동이 유아의 미술성향 및 창의성에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위한 것이다. 연구대상은 전남 K시에 위치한 H어린이집의 만 5세로 실험집단 20명, 비교집단 20명 총 40명 유아를 대상으로 하였다. 실험집단 유아들은 16회의 한국화를 활용한 조형활동을 실시하였으며, 비교집단은 한국화를 활용한 이야기나누기 활동을 실시하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS프로그램을 사용하여 t-검증을 하였다. 연구결과에 따르면 첫째, 한국화를 활용한 조형활동을 실시한 실험집단이 비교집단보다 미술성향의 하위영역인 미술구성능력, 미술표현능력, 미술적 태도가 향상되었다. 둘째, 한국화를 활용한 조형활동을 실시한 실험집단이 비교집단보다 창의성의 하위영역인 유창성, 독창성, 개방성, 민감성이 향상되었다. 한국화를 활용한 조형활동이 유아의 미술성향과 창의성을 향상시켰다는 이러한 결과는 한국화를 활용한 조형활동의 현장 적용가능성을 시사한다.
The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of art activities with Korean pictures on young childred`s art disposition and creativity, and to provide basic data about teaching and learning methods that can be applied effectively to the early childhood education field. The subjects of the present study, were 40 five-years-old children from two classes of ``H`` nursery in ``K`` city, One of them was assigned to an experimental group while the other class was assigned to a comparative group. The collected data through pre and post-test were analyzed with a t-test using the SPSS Program. The findings of this study were as follows: First, the post-test showed that the experimental group`s results were statistically significantly higher than the comparative group`s in young children`s art disposition and its sub-areas such as art composition ability, art expression ability, and artistic attitude. Second, the post-test showed that the experimental group`s results were statistically significantly higher than the comparative group`s in young children`s creativity and its sub-areas such as fluency, originality, openness, and sensitivity. In conclusion, the art activities with Korean pictures in this study presented an improvement of children`s art disposition and creativity. These results suggest that these activities are worthwhile and can be used as teaching aids of early childhood education to enhance children`s art disposition and creativity.
